In fact, it can be summarized in a quote.

"You do not rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your systems"

I was focusing too much on what I wanted my outcome to be rather than the daily steps I needed to take in order to make that outcome a reality.

And, from that, I struggled to maintain any progress I made once things in my life got busy.

The first 3-4 years of my time in the gym were spent...

- Searching for the ‘perfect’ Training Program and swapping randomly between routines I'd seen online - no plan, no structure

- Convincing myself I needed to spend hours and hours in the gym to make meaningful progress with no systems in place in the event I was short on time

- Avoiding events and time with friends out of fear I would lose progress by deviating from a rigid nutrition plan

- Overcomplicating my recovery with no way to assess whether what I am doing is actually producing the results I wanted

The truth is - I was doing too much, with no actual repeatable habits in place, and wasting a lot of my time and effort along the way.

I needed better systems to fall to.

Fast forward to today - I'm in the gym consistently - while running my own business - and have a nutrition approach that blends into the background. It's a simple, effective system based around 3 core principles that I use myself and with all my clients.

Of course...we won't achieve ground-breaking change in just 2 weeks…
